Optional & Additional Training
Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Training: Each Division/Unit at the University of Chicago is charged with the responsibility to develop a plan to provide appropriate education and oversight in the responsible and ethical conduct of research to undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers within the Division/Unit who will be supported by NSF to conduct research. Please see Responsible Conduct of Research for more information.
Good Clinical Practices (GCP): Effective January 1, 2017 – NIH expects all NIH-funded clinical investigators and clinical trial staff who are involved in the design, conduct, oversight, or management of clinical trials to be trained in Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Recipients of GCP training are expected to retain documentation of their training. GCP training should be refreshed at least every three years in order to stay up to date with regulations, standards, and guidelines. For more information on the requirements, please see https://grants.nih.gov/policy/clinical-trials/good-clinical-training.htm. A GCP course for Behavioral & Social Sciences researchers is offered through the online CITI platform.
